Paris Haute Couture F/W 2018-19, Maison Margiela
It is an author, intergalactic and stellar muse that Maison Margiela landed in Paris along the catwalk of the fall / winter High Fashion catwalk 2018-19. A creature more than avant-garde, a daughter of the stars and if for science the color is only light, Maison Margiela has them all parading, in color blocking solutions that seduce at first sight thanks to daring but hyperbolically successful color combinations. Maison Margiela only knows the accelerator pedal. While the other couturiers are masters in staying on track in the great race of fashion by measuring gas and brake, the maison led by the iconoclast John Galliano is like a bullet with only the future. There is no way to slow down the race that will end only by centering the target. And this collection, between conceptualism and art, mystery and ultra-contemporary elegance, aims to give the portrait of a woman who is already beyond, who already lives that future of which, who walks, while she flies fast, still is fantasizing.
